When OSR teams arrive at the site of an already contained spill, conditions will be in their favor. A smaller contaminated area and a thicker layer of oil will dramatically improve their results, save them money and open up new business opportunities. They will use far fewer dispersants, skimming will go much more smoothly, and if the need for in-situ burning arises, the oil layer will be thick enough.
